Hardware Versions

What is the difference between the version 1 and 2?
Also, can I monitor 1 phase loads using the 3 phase module?

Hi, currently openZmeter have passed over some hardware versions, and revisions. Hardware name comes from the “driver” than handle it.
Mainly we have 2 versions:

  • DeviceV1: your version, integrated current sensor and single phase.
  • DeviceV2: External current sensors, and up to four current channel to measure 3 phase + neutral.

Currently deviceV2 is in testing but will be releases in very short time. It can be configured to measure 3phase+neutral, 3phase and one single phase or even four single phase circuits.

Each of then can be selected from analyzer list. I attach some captures in three phase mode:

Hello,

More doubts: what is the purpose of V3? I see it has 8 hall-effect current sensors, and only 1 voltage input. How does that make sense?

Thanks!

Hi jaranguren,

DeviceV3 is for an special system, its not useful for mains meassurements.

Hi @edu .

Thanks a lot for the confirmation.

Best regards.
